Yamaha motors are industry recognized as the most reliable. We regularly perform preventative maintenance on our boats to keep them in tip-top working condition. Prior to rental, the boat's condition is inspected and all required safety equipment is verified to be on board in proper locations. And all boats including life jackets and equipment are cleaned and sanitized between users.

  • Why should I choose S&J Marine?

    S&J Marine, LLC. is locally owned and operated by Jeff Henderson and his girlfriend, Angela. Both are Georgia natives and passionate about boating. Jeff enjoys tournament fishing and is a Lake Hartwell fishing pro. Jeff has been fishing Lake Hartwell for over 15 years. Feel free to ask him for the best fishing spots.


    Jeff is an upholsterer by trade specializing in custom boat and auto interiors for over 35 years. Hendersonson Custom Upholstery is located at 5070 Whitworth Road, Lavonia, Georgia. At the end of boating season, you will find him making boat covers and bimini tops. Nothing protects your boat like a custom sewn cover.

  • Are there any deposits or fees to know about?

    Yes, all rentals require a $100 (Refundable) fuel deposit  (cash or check upon pick-up for hold)


    Deposit is returned when you return the boat with a full tank.


    There is also a cleanup fee of at least $100 for boats returned excessively dirty. 

  • What requirements must be met in order to rent a boat?

    The individual renting the boat will need to be at least 21 years old licensed driver (company policy)


    Georgia and South Carolina law requirements:


    Any person born on or after January 1, 1998, operating a motorized vessel is required by law to pass a boater safety course and to carry a boater education card.
